Brandon is currently the Director of Bands at Hershey High School, where he directs the Trojan Marching Band, the Wind Symphony, the Symphonic Band, and the Jazz Ensemble. Brandon received his Bachelors in Music Education from Penn State University and his Masters in Trombone Performance from West Virginia University. He has studied with Steve Stiffer, Mark Lusk, Keith Jackson, and Brian Plitnik. Brandon is a member of the West Shore Symphony and Berks Sinfonietta Chamber Orchestra. He also frequently freelances in the Southeast region. Brandon is a member of the International Trombone Association, National Band Association, and the National Association for Music Education.

Joe Codispoti, Percussion

Joe is a music educator and musician with experience in drum set, marching percussion, and mallet percussion. In addition to teaching at CAMA, he is an instructor with the Warwick Marching Band, the drummer of the band All Systems Go, and the PK-8 general music teacher at St. Margaret Mary Catholic School. By focusing on the process over the product, Joe strives to help his students improve and become self-sufficient problem solvers.

Henry Devorick,

Guitar, Bass, Piano

Henry is a recent graduate from Lebanon Valley College (class of 2020) with degrees in audio production and music composition. He has been playing bass and guitar since adolescence and became a proficient jazz pianist during his college years. His belief that every student is unique, in terms of goals and abilities, guarantees that his students get the lessons that are right for them. He plays in several bands and freelances throughout Pennsylvania.

Julia Evans,

Violin

Julia has been playing the violin for over 45 years. She started Suzuki Violin Method at the age of 5 with Pam DeWall of Hershey, and continued with Linda Fiore of West Chester until high school graduation. She received her Bachelor of Music Therapy from Shenandoah College and Conservatory where she studied violin with Kenneth Sargent. After becoming a Registered Music Therapist, Julia began her own music therapy practice traveling to local nursing and group homes. She completed Suzuki Teacher Certification and has been teaching for the past 19 years. Julia performs with the Worship Team at the Church of the Good Shepherd, resides in Lebanon with her husband Todd, and her two daughters, Annika and Gabrielle.

Rebecca Gray,

Violin, Viola, Ukulele, Adult Ensemble

Rebecca has been teaching violin and viola for more than 20 years. She plays freelance with local groups and runs the Adult Ensemble.

Jen Harris,

Violin, Viola

Jen Harris graduated from West Chester University with a B.S. degree in music education. She has performed with the Hershey Symphony, Shaw Strings (largest all-female string group in Pennsylvania), Ephrata Performing Arts Center, Reading Pops Orchestra, Central Pennsylvania Symphony, Londonderry String Quartet, and various other ensembles. She is a member of the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association, and directs the orchestra program at Milton Hershey School, Hershey, PA. Jen teaches privately at CAMA and is the coordinator for the facility.

Phil Mitchell,

Guitar, Bass Guitar, Ukulele

Phil Mitchell has been playing music for 52 years, first on trombone, then on guitar. Phil taught at Marty’s Music for 11 years before coming to Campbelltown Academy. He has had students as young as 5-1/2 years old as well as adults in their 70’s and all ages in between. Phil particularly enjoys teaching music theory as it applies to the guitar.

Jason Nadeau,

Violin and Viola

Jason Nadeau is a professional violinist and private music instructor.

Originally a guitarist, Jason's experience started with a professional rock group which recorded 2 CD's and toured the east coast. Through this experience Jason learned about the recording process and sound engineering. Finding his passion for violin, this quickly became his primary instrument. He has also studied composition with local composers and has had his works performed by local colleges.

Jason has been teaching violin lessons since 2009. Infusing lessons with different ear training, music theory, sight reading, and different styles of music, he strives to make every student a well-rounded musician.

Mike Rusli,

Cello

Mike is excited to be joining the staff of CAMA! He began cello lessons in grade school in Hong Kong and has been the principal cellist of the Hershey Symphony Orchestra for the past 25 years. Additionally, for the past 15 years, Mike has run the Symphony’s annual Young Artist Competition. Mike has a passion for chamber music (classical music for small groups such as string quartets), and plays casually with friends. Recently, Mike retired from medicine and would love to devote time to teaching cello playing in all age groups.

Karen has been teaching piano for many years at several local music schools. She is an excellent accompanist and is in the process of updating her bio!

Steve Witter,

Cello, Cello Choir

Steve, a graduate of Messiah College, is a member of the Londonderry String Quartet. He teaches privately and directs Cello Choir classes and performances at the Country String Shop Music Academy. Steve also instructs cello participants in the Summer Music Program.
